In honor of Live Your Dream's 50th Anniversary, we just awarded not two, but three scholarships to three very deserving women!
Olga, our first place winner, is studying at TC Futures. Danielle is studying at Grace Kitchen and Kim is studying at Columbia Basin College. Congratulations to all!
Celebrating 50 Years of Live Your Dream
Since 1972, Soroptimist worldwide has distributed more than $30 million in education awards to 30,000 women who are now making a better life for themselves and their families.
During SI of Three Rivers’ 20-year history, we gave 20 Live Your Dreams Awards totaling $38,000 to local women working to better their lives through education and skills training.
Over half of our Live Your Dream Awards recipients are survivors of domestic violence, trafficking or sexual assault. Nearly all of the women and families we serve have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, teen pregnancy or drug and alcohol addiction.
As Soroptimists, we invest in women's education because it transforms lives and communities. The Live Your Dream Awards program is a unique education award for women who provide the primary financial support for their families. Live Your Dream Award recipients can use the cash award to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education, such as books, childcare, tuition and transportation.
The Live Your Dream Awards have been recognized for their effectiveness and long-term impact.
