We provide opportunities for Mid-Columbia women and girls so they are empowered to shape their future.

Welcome to Soroptimist International of Three Rivers -

SI3R for short.

After a very challenging time, I am glad to say that we are excited to be getting back to normal life while reimaging how we connect with each other, our community and the world at large.

Moving into whatever our new normal is post-pandemic, one thing is clear: Soroptimist International of the Americas, powered by clubs like ours, will continue our global reach by helping to inspire, empower and educate women and young girls everywhere.

As part of the SI Federation, we share a mission, vision and core values that inspire us to bring to life initiatives that are important to our club and to the local community. This club year, I want to forge a great future for SI3R by further aligning our initiatives with these core values:

  • Gender Equality: Women and girls live free from discrimination.

  • Empowerment: Women and girls are free to act in their own best interest.

  • Education: Women and girls deserve to lead full and productive lives through access to education.

  • Diversity & Fellowship: Women from varied background and perspectives work together to improve the lives of women and girls.

After reviewing the overall mission, vision and core values, our board created four strategic goals that will guide our work locally for the next several years. For example, we embrace diversity and fellowship as a club. To further strengthen this core value, we want to explore opportunities to work with and support our women veterans. We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

We also have so much to celebrate right now, from being able to see each other in person again to Soroptimist International’s 100th anniversary in October 2021. In 2022, SI3R is celebrating 20 years of providing opportunities for Mid-Columbia women and girls so they are empowered to shape their future.

What a time to join our organization, learn about our local and global impacts and celebrate our collective achievements.

I personally invite you to learn more about SI3R, review our four strategic goals and join us for a meeting to get to know our fantastic members. We have a lot of work to accomplish and we would be thrilled and grateful to have you join our organization.

Here’s to a wonderful year ahead,

Mysti Meiers
